somehow they reminded me of my PW project last year!
these are some pictures of the model of a house
supposedly designed by laurie baker
but actually designed by quynh phuong

shiyi, hari and i spent countless hours in the school library
every chinese lesson last year to build the model.
but we were not satisfied with that.
shiyi and alvin even came to my place every weekend
to continue the work which we did not manage to finish at school.

we held a mini-scale exhibition in the school library
to test whether our plan was feasible and would work.
this is a picture of the set up of our mini-scale exhibition.
here are some pictures taken during the exhibition.
hundreds of people visited our booth at the library.
they were also asked to complete a survey.
we had a hard time avaluating the results of the survey
because we had way too many responses.

this is a group's photo after the mini-scale exhibition.
hari was crying because he was too touched that
many people actually attended our exhibition.
hence he was not in the picture.
i did not know that guys could get so emotional over pw!
beside the model, we also had a photo collage
which captured all the pictures of the houses
designed and built by laurie baker.
the pictures formed the words "laurie baker".
this is the layout of our actually exhibition,
which was intended to be held in nus central library.
to publicise our exhibition, we had pamphlets which were
designed in an innovative way to attract people's attention.
and these are pictures of our written report!
it was only 30+ pages long but we managed to obtain our As and B.
it shows that quantity is not as important as quality.

i have no idea why i am blogging about pw now!
sometimes i kind of miss pw a bit!
haha i just realised that we haven't thanked mr forrest lim
for his guidance throughout last year.
without his help, i doubt if we would be able to survive!
to all the j1s: all the best for your pw! (:
