at the beginning of this year, my mom went to visit her favourite fortune tellers and was over the moon when told that there would be a very good things happening to my family during the 10th lunar month - she immediately convinced herself that it could only be my wedding and started freaking out as 10 months might not be sufficient to prepare everything. even up till today (the 17th day of lunar october), she still has not yet given up believing in an impending wedding even though she sometimes pretends to say that the good news might be related to my job or some other things.
well, that's my mom for you. on my part, i just laughed when first hearing the news because it just sounded so ridiculous and unrealistic then. during the period of 10-11 months since then, i've occasionally been annoyed by constantly being bombarded by my mom's question "so are you really getting married at the end of this year?" and even screamed at her to the extent that we got into a one-week long cold war. but now, i'm kind of hoping for some good news too, not necessarily related to a wedding but just something good to make me feel rewarded. good news, you have about 10 more days till the end of lunar october!
