2011!

so i finally had the time to properly sit down and summarise all the major events which happened last year. i know this post should have been published 10 days ago, but it didn't happen. although its a bit late, the content which i'll be writing today will not vary much from what it would have been if published on time. argh okay enough explanation, why do i even bother anyways? so here's my last year summarised in photos.

january

the year started out on a bad note, with a horrible perm! x.x but at least i learned a lesson and swore not to make the same mistake again. besides that, january was a month of gatherings and reunions.

february was a festive month thanks to lunar new year, one of the occasions i love the most in a year. the people, places, food and weather made it a perfect holiday at home!

my shoeshoe left singapore for germany in a frantic search for her boyfriends in march and did not bother how her sad roommate would cry herself to sleep for the next few months. however, the roommate (me!) was still very sweet and decided to organised farewell parties for shoeshoe.

and then there was a super crazy day when meiqi's birthday celebration and rms' appreciation lunch fell on the same day/time, which made me run from one place to another.

april

april was spent on school work and rms stuff. I FINALLY MANAGED TO BALANCE THE RMS BOOKS!!! although i had to redo and redo and redo for 10,000 times, i was still over the moon when A = L + OE! :D

what happened in may? oh, exams! >.< however, huang's birthday was more important, so i still ran out to meet up with the gay boys for lunch to celebrate huang's birthday. otherwise, he might just emo himself at some random corner at home until he turns into an e-monster, complaining that his life isn't so awesome and it's cold in here and stuff.

after exams, there were the unplanned johor road trip and the slightly planned bangkok trip. johor road trip was great, as we got to play the super cool family bi-bicycle thing (there was even a video, which would never go public!) and spent the whole night at the children's park. bangkok was marvelous, with clothes and shoes and bags and ear rings and rings! :D oh and the touristy places there were very pretty too (i really mean it, trust me, i'm not trying to say this just to make myself sound less superficial and materialistic haha!)

june

i was the happiest intern ever during my first week, because everyday i got to go to 5/6 star hotels to attend conferences and eat nice food. however, the weeks which followed were not as cool, or not even half as cool because which i did at work everyday was facebook, ipad, facebook, ipad, ... so to compensate for the boredom at work, a lot of outings were organised so that all of us could complain about how sad the working life was.

july

internship did not end till the end of july, so this month was still a month of sufferings.  and the degree of boredom just grew exponentially as time passed, so outings were not enough to make people happy anymore. road trips were chosen as the substitute! :D

i saw my girlfriend again after a few years here!

and then, my professional attachment finally came to an end. although the place was nice and the people were great, i would not wish to do it again. waking early and coming back late everyday without an afternoon nap would never appear in my wish list. if there were things i remember from internship, they would be going for 2-hour lunches with laurel and sam on a regular basis, bitching with my supervisors about the other people at work and hiding at a random corner in the office to sleep! :D

august

being home for only a sad period of 10 days was my reward after internship. but the 10 days at home were well spent, so there was nothing to complain about.

it was a fat month since all i remembered doing was eating, eating and eating more. there was school work too, obviously but that had never been the focus of the picture.

deadlines were uncountable and exams were around the corner, once again. so some of us gathered for the almost forgotten lms at the usual place of je library! :D my cute boys were there studying with their friends too! so you can judge how effective my revision was on the fateful day!

after exams, i stayed in singapore for a short while for sock's birthday celebration, fyp and shopping (heeeee!) before finally heading home for the holiday.

so that was 2011.

2 years ago, i complained that 2009 was the worst year ever. 1 year ago, i complained that 2010 was the worst year ever. this year, i really want to say the same thing but i dont see the point anymore. it seems like every year will just get worse than the previous year, or maybe it's just the whiny me haha!

2011 was a year of decisions, both good and bad but i'm not sure if there were more good ones or bad ones and there's no way for me to tell whether there will be one day when i'll regret the decisions i've made in 2011. it was also a year of sleepless nights, with headaches and heartaches. it was a year of confusion and a lost sense of direction too. now i just feel relieved that it has finally come to an end.

2012 is already here, and i'll try my best to make it a good year! (: have a little faith! (y)
