it's not that i have never seen fireworks before. in fact, i watch fireworks every year during lunar new year at home, and on a few other occasions in singapore if i'm lucky enough to catch them. however, i'm still as excited as a child who has never watched fireworks before every year.
this year was no difference. although i told myself that it wasn't a big deal and the fireworks would be the same as what i saw last year and i even went to bed at 9 plus to not be bothered by the anticipation of the new year, i was still waken up at 11 plus! ): having nothing else to do, i just walked around in the house helping with random tasks here and there and waiting for fireworks.
when it was midnight, the fireworks indeed started and i just loved seeing the pretty flowers lighting up in the sky, hearing the sound of them intensely exploding and most importantly, the smell of those firecrackers floating around in the wintery air - the smell of Tết! (:
