wikipedia, though not necessarily the best source to cite from, says that "april fools' day is marked by the commission of good-humoured or otherwise funny jokes, hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, teachers, neighbors, work associates, etc." well, i get it that it is supposed to be a day of fun but that's only if everyone understands what 'good-humoured' and 'funny' mean. of course not everyone gets this, which results in terrible pranks. and the pain of receiving such pranks is exacerbated 10,000 times when they are repeated a few times.
maybe i am stupid. maybe i have no sense of humour. maybe i am a turn off. but sorry, i am not a huge fan of april fools' day.
