'phuong' is one of the commonly seen vietnamese names. 'quynh phuong', on the other hand, is slightly less frequently observed. in my entire life, i've only met/ heard of at most 3 other 'quynh phuong's.
'phuong' is also the name i've been called by everyone i knew when i was a little girl. only when i started going to school did my friends begin to give me nicknames. however, at home, i'm always just 'phuong'.
okay, back to the non-uniqueness of the name 'phuong'. when i was in secondary school, there were 3 'phuong's in my class and so, to differentiate us, most teachers, including my favourite, called us by our middle and first names instead of just first name. ever since, i've liked being called 'quynh phuong'.
maybe i'm just obsessed with myself and my own name. but every time anyone calls me 'quynh phuong', i just feel a little warmth in my heart! (:
