grinderpea!

so i've been working for a week, and seriously am still not used to it yet. the first 2 days were really happening with meetings and conferences at all the high-class places, so it was quite exciting. however, those great 2 days made the next 2 days feel 197103874901 times more mundane than they actually were and there were many occasions when i found myself either just stoning or merely counting down to dismissal! ):

i mean my bosses, colleagues and other people are really nice and understanding, and the company and environment are both great, but its just me. seriously i totally felt like quitting right after the first day at work!!! how horrible is that right? haish i just cant imagine myself waking up super early in the morning everyday, spending more than half a day at work, coming back really late in the evening and just wanting to collapse immediately right after i reach home! >.< just an example, i was too tired that i forgot to spin my daily bonus omg! ): so yeah, i just hate not being able to do the things i want, wear the clothes i like and be with the people i love. haha and oh now i truly understand why people tgif! :D

well, i hope things will get better. actually everything has gotten better already since friday as i got to talk to more people and know more abt the culture in the company. to be honest, this is a great place with great opportunities! i think i will be just fine!! (:

back to basics.

no matter what i do, who i do it with and how long i've done it for, i guess i still will never be like any of you. well, if only i just listened to my mom and did what she wanted me to do since the beginning, i wouldn't have been in this horrible state of confusion now. now i wonder what for i stayed up till so late last night, since not like anything should matter to me anyways.

haish people can really be so insensitive sometimes.

absolute evilness!

if you ever ask me to name one evil thing in this world, i can give you the answer immediately without even having to wonder for just one second - TETRIS BATTLE! seriously, it extinguishes hopes, ruins dreams and demolishes the future. it can also make friendships and relationships sour, break up families and destroy lives. haish why do i know it all so well? i'm a miserable victim who is so so so addicted to tetris battle! what am i going to do with my future when i'm "contentedly" wasting my life away on games after games after games??! ):

traitor! ):

i am not a traitor, really! ): if not constrained by the rules and everything, i'd love to apply back to the same room in which i've been staying for the last 2 years and which is so totally mine, or apply for one of the 4 single rooms in lovely block 50 anytime! haish well, i guess i shouldnt blame the circumstances or anyone else since it was me who made the decision and clicked the evil button.

but hey dearest ie-friends aka cake-friends aka block 50 friends, i really love you guys to bits and will never be able to forget the 2 years filled with memories with you guys. like how would i not remember screaming SHOESHOE and disturbing everyone every time i come back to hall right? like how would i not remember the random fruit parties/ "information sharing sessions" in my room right? like how would i not remember the breakfasts/ lunches/ dinner in hall/ school right? seriously, i'm so going to miss those horribly unimaginably long stairs which lead to our rooms! haha where else can you find such stairs? (:

argh this is too emo omg haha! okay bye world, back to studyyyyy!

so advanced yo!

i can't deny the fact that technology is good and has done an uncountable number of positive things to my life. to be honest, i cant really how i'd survive one day without my hand phone/ the internet. i mean i probably wouldnt die, but i'd certainly feel uneasy, like very uneasy. however, i'm sure i appreciate life without technology much better than many others.

many times before when taking the train, i've seen like almost everyone else playing games/ watching videos/ listening to music with their iphones. it seemed interesting to me intially, as i was once attracted to those games as well. however, the extent to which the iphone is invading our life now, i feel, is scary. i mean is it possible for everyone in a group of friends who are taking the train together to all be looking at their iphones and not talking to one another at all? worse still, is it possible for a couple to be on a date and while waiting for their dinner dishes to be served, doing their own things in their iphones? urghhh what's the world coming to? hmm the phone is supposed to make communication easier, not replace communication totally, isn't it?

when travelling from one place to another, whatever mode of transport i'm taking, i still like observing the people around me, appreciating the beauty of the surrounding scenery and enjoying the sound of people talking and vehicles moving. this morning was a perfect example, since the weather, too, was so pleasant.

my mom will probably force me to take her iphone soon, but i shall not let it change my weird habits. haha i just realised that i may just be 21 but my thinking is similar to that of those born in the 1950s! :D

why now??

honestly i so think that i'm like the most healthy person i've ever seen in the entire world, thanks to my healthy diet and lifestyle. i practically fall sick once every year, like seriously! so why must i fall sick nooooooow of 365 days in the whole year?? ): ): ): you know how horrible it is to have a throat so sore that it hurts so badly every time you talk or drink water right? oh and it sucks too to be on antibiotics as i feel drowsy all the time. all i ever want to do is just close my eyes and sleep but i cant afford to do that now! arrrrgh is this like karma or something? i've been getting a lot of bad karma over the last two days? hicks...

sacrificial love?

at present i can proudly say that i love tetris battle, i really do. however, would i still be able to openly declare my love for tetris battle in the day when:

(1) i don't mind staying in for the whole day to play tetris battle instead of  having dinner with my family/ going out to meet my friends whom i have not seen for very long.

(2) i'm too focused on a game of tetris battle that i don't bother about any call/text message from anyone anymore.

(3) tetris battle is the only thing in my mind so neither do i bother remembering a dinner appointment i've made earlier nor care to ask myself whether the person whom i'm supposed to meet for dinner is hungry or has eaten.

(4) although its getting late and i should be going elsewhere, i cant leave my computer because someone keeps challenging me in tetris battle and i'm very confident that i can win the person.

(5) i will continue playing tetris battle despite my family/friends telling me to stop.

what a great sacrificial love! indeed sacrificial loves are respectable. however, if i go to such extent to sacrifice for tetris battle, i dont think i would be able to call it sacrificial love anymore. do you know what i'd call it? its an ADDICTION! but then again, of course, i would not admit that i'm addicted to tetris battle (like duh, which addict ever admits that he's an addict anyways?) and instead say that it's just a hobby.

...
after a few months/years, i would finally get sick of tetris battle and realise that i haven't really seen my family for a while and/or actually miss my friends. i would like to ask them for dinner but it feels weird because its been so long since i last contacted them. and even if i really had the courage to ask them and they really agreed, it'd be awkward since we've been out of touch for like ever. so in the end, i'm left with no one but my computer and tetris battle.

so should i continue playing tetris battle and wait till the day when the saying "i'm all alone in this world" comes true?

taokaenoi!

this is officially my favourite snack during this examination period!!!! :D

language barrier?

oh yeah, on another note, is there actually a language barrier between animals? like for example, would the 'meow' by a chinese cat differ from the 'meow' from an american cat? this topic surfaced from a random msn conversation with a random friend on a random day and has actually been one of my wonders since like forever. hmm i also ask myself occasionally whether cats discriminate against others who belong to a different 'race' with a different fur colour too? interesting stuff, i'll look it up after exams!
